INGREDIENTS


  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 9 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 3/4 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 3 tablespoons shortening

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and extract until smooth
  2. Gradually add confectioners' sugar, beating well
  3. Shape into 1-in. balls
  4. Place on waxed paper-lined baking sheets
  5. Flatten into patties
  6. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour or until chilled.
  7. In a microwave, melt chips and shortening; stir until smooth
  8. Cool slightly
  9. Dip patties in melted chocolate; place on waxed paper until firm
  10. Store in the refrigerator
