INGREDIENTS

 

  • 1 1/4 lbs ground beef (or 1 lb and fill in with extra rice and bread crumbs)
  • 1 medium yellow onion diced
  • 1/2 cup raw white long grain rice
  • 1 egg beaten (extra large)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup fine bread crumbs
  • 1 cup hot milk

DIRECTIONS

 

  1. In a bowl beat egg, then combine, onion, rice, bread crumbs, salt, pepper, meat and very hot milk and mix together
  2. Prehat oven to 350
  3. Shape mixture with hands into golf ball sized balls
  4. Place around in dish. Some may be layered
  5. In separate bowl mix two cans of cream of mushroom soup with 2 cups water until fairly smooth
  6. Pour over meatballs in the dish
  7. Cover and bake for two hours
