- 1 1/4 lbs ground beef (or 1 lb and fill in with extra rice and bread crumbs)
- 1 medium yellow onion diced
- 1/2 cup raw white long grain rice
- 1 egg beaten (extra large)
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 cup fine bread crumbs
- 1 cup hot milk
- In a bowl beat egg, then combine, onion, rice, bread crumbs, salt, pepper, meat and very hot milk and mix together
- Prehat oven to 350
- Shape mixture with hands into golf ball sized balls
- Place around in dish. Some may be layered
- In separate bowl mix two cans of cream of mushroom soup with 2 cups water until fairly smooth
- Pour over meatballs in the dish
- Cover and bake for two hours
