INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb mild bulk pork sausage
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 medium green peppers, chopped
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 to 2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and finely minced
  • 1 package (6-1/4 oz.) quick-cooking long grain and wild rice mix

DIRECTIONS

 

  1. In a large skillet, cook sausage, cumin and garlic powder, stirring often
  2. Drain
  3. Add onions and green peppers
  4. Saute until crips tender
  5. Dissolve bouillon in water
  6. Add to skillet
  7. Stir in jalapenos, rice and rice seasoning packet, and bring to a boil
  8. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, 5 -10 minutes or until the water is absorbed
